You can also delete your account in-app where available. This page explains the email request process and what happens to your data.

Request deletion

You can request deletion of your MoodMatch account and associated personal data by emailing support@getmoodmatch.com from the email address linked to your MoodMatch account.

How to request deletion

  1. Email support@getmoodmatch.com.
  2. Use the subject line: MoodMatch account deletion request.
  3. Include the email address or phone number used for your MoodMatch account.
  4. We may ask you to verify account ownership before deleting data.

Data deleted

When your request is verified, we delete or anonymize account data from active systems, including:

  • Account profile information, such as name, age, bio, mood settings, preferences, and profile photos.
  • Discovery data, location-related profile fields, blocks, reports, and app settings.
  • Connection requests, private conversations, and related notification tokens where technically possible.
  • Subscription entitlement flags stored by MoodMatch. Purchases and billing records remain managed by Google Play or Apple where applicable.

Data that may be retained

Some data may be retained for a limited time where required for security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, backups, or abuse prevention. Shared content visible to other users, such as messages already received by others or moderated community records, may be retained or anonymized where needed to protect the service.

Timing

We aim to process verified deletion requests within a reasonable time. Backup copies may take longer to expire according to normal backup retention practices.
